Terms and Conditions
Payment Terms
A minimum 25% deposit is required on placing any order to secure your booking. The final balance is due six weeks prior to your wedding date. Payment may be settled by cash, cheque or any major credit card. Cheques should be made payable to The Wedding Cheese Cake Co and must be presented with a valid cheque guarantee card.
Delivery
We assemble and deliver all of our wedding cheese cakes personally to the designated wedding venue to ensure every cake arrives safely and in perfect condition. Due to the intricate nature of our service we do not use couriers or postal services. Delivery is free of charge within a 30-mile radius of our premises*. Additional mileage costs will be incurred for venues outside of this radius and will be agreed and costed directly with the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the address details given for the delivery location are accurate. The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. does not accept any responsibility or liability for any delays arising from incorrect information being supplied.
* UK Mainland Only.
Cutting and Serving
Cutting and serving of the wedding cheese cake is the responsibility of the customer.
Cake Stand Loan Policy
Loan of a cake stand is included in the price for all wedding cheese cake packages. The stand is available on a loan basis only and remains the property of The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. The cake stand should be returned safely and undamaged to The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. in the same condition it arrived in. The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. requires a security deposit of 150.00 GBP to cover any damages to, or loss of the cake stand. Security deposits will be fully refunded upon safe arrival of the cake stand. The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. will collect the cake stand in person from those venues within a 30 mile radius of its premises. For venues outside of this radius alternative arrangements must be made to return the cake stand.
Returns Policy
We deliver and assemble all of our cheese cakes personally and therefore we guarantee that all cakes are left at the wedding venue in perfect condition (The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. will require a signature on-site to confirm receipt and release the cake to the venue). Once we have left the premises the cheese cake becomes the full responsibility of the customer and no liability will be accepted for any damage or loss that occurs after this time. We source our cheeses from the finest quality suppliers. Cheese tastes vary greatly and some flavours can be very strong. We recommend that you taste a small sample before ordering as no responsibility can be accepted for a dislike in a cheese’s natural taste. If you are unhappy with the quality of the cheese you must notify us immediately (within 24 hours of delivery) and we will let you know how to proceed. We will also need to attend the event and take samples of the disputed cheese for investigation. Your statutory rights are not affected. The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. reserves the right the repair or replace any damaged or faulty items on-site where applicable.
Privacy Policy
The privacy of our customers is very important to us – all orders are treated in strict confidence. We will use your contact details (your name, job title, telephone and fax number and your e-mail and postal addresses) to provide any services requested by you and also to tell you about special offers and important changes to the website and its functionality. These details will be used only by The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. and in accordance with the Data Protection Act we will not pass on your information to any other third party or organisation. We may ask if we can use your feedback within our marketing material but this is optional and at your discretion.
Cancellation Policy
If a cheese cake order is cancelled less than eight weeks prior to the wedding date, the customer will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount to be paid. Cancellations made less than six week prior to the wedding date, the customer will be liable to pay the full balance of the total cost.
Copyright
All of the written, photographic, design and audio content in our company literature and on our website, together with the selection and arrangement of it are our copyrighted property or that of the people who have granted to us the right to use it and is protected as such. All rights are reserved. None of this material may be used without our written permission. You may download or print a single copy for your own non-commercial off-line viewing. All names, logos, slogans or other phrases may be a trademark of ours or another person or corporation. Any unauthorised use of a trademark is unlawful.
Changes
The Wedding Cheese Cake company reserves the right to make changes to its company literature and website and these terms and conditions at any time. The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. reserves the right to change its prices and designs without notice and maintain a price differential between special show offers and its website (this does not apply to orders that have already been placed). The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. will not be liable for any specific instructions set out in its website or in any documents accompanying the goods supplied. Every care has been taken to describe and show the goods accurately. Cheese is a living organism and as such, variations in sizes and textures may vary from that shown. Variations may also occur in both design decor and specification of cheese cakes as the manufacturers of the items improve their products or items become discontinued. Please note pictures are for general illustration only and the product may vary from those shown.
Matters Beyond Our Control
The Wedding Cheese Cake Co. shall not be held liable for any breach of these terms and conditions caused by circumstances out of its control, including acts of God, fire, lightning, flood or extremely severe weather, explosion, war, disorder, industrial disputes (whether or not involving our employees) network failures, or acts of local or central Government or other competent authorities.
